About the event

Lisa Nason from Project Opioid will be here teaching us about the Fentanyl and Opioid Overdose Epidemic that is ravaging the United States, and how community wide strategies can help to save lives.  Free Narcan - a nasal spray which is ENTIRELY non-toxic and non-narcotic, and helps overdose victims to start breathing - will be distributed to attendees.  Narcan is now available through a statewide "blanket prescription," but it is expensive to purchase, with most local pharmacies charging $50 per dose.  Information about the Recovery Ready Workforce - a movement which encourages the adoption of easy-to-implement practices to create a healthy workforce - will also be presented.

Event Highlights:

  • Complimentary Dinner: Enjoy a meal that embodies the principles of culinary wellness.
  • Informative Presentation: Gain valuable insights into how culinary health can be a cornerstone of wellness for individuals and families alike, especially those dealing with special needs.
  • Professional Child Supervision: We provide professional onsite child supervision, ensuring that parents can engage fully with the presentation.
  • Gas Card Distribution: As a token of our appreciation for your time and effort to join us, we will be distributing gas cards.
  • Exciting Raffle: Attendees will have the opportunity to win great prizes, making the evening not only informative but also enjoyable.
